Jabalpur: patwari arrested while taking bribe

A patwari posted in Panagar tehsil was caught red-handed by the Lokayukta police today while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.
Mukesh Tiwari, the accused, had demanded Rs 25,000 from Zahur Ahmed, the complainant, for transferring papers of land lease agreement pertaining to a 14,000 sq ft plot of land which latter had purchased recently in Amkhera village, in-charge SP of Lokayukta police Satish Mishra said.
After negotiating the amount down to Rs 10,000, Ahmed tipped off Lokayukta police which set a trap for Tiwari.
