Jack was just five when his parents split in 1997 and he admits the media circus surrounding their divorce was very difficult for him to handle, reported Us magazine.
Now 23, the star of Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese's new TV hit "Vinyl" said, "It's one of those weird ages for your parents to get divorced. You're old enough to know what's going on, but young enough to be kind of naive about it. It's a whole deal.
But despite the drama, Jack can't imagine being happier with other parents.
"I acknowledge fully the way that I grew up was not normal, but, at the same time, it was normal in the sense that despite what my parents do, they are still a mom and a dad," he added.

"It's not like they are their characters at the dinner table or anything like that. I'm a huge fan of both of their work... The thing that's nice about it, something that I'm really grateful to have, is they share this enthusiasm for telling stories and acting.
Jack said he accepted he'll always be considered Meg and Dennis' kid, but he hopes roles in "The Hunger Games" and "Vinyl" will help film fans quickly forget about his famous parents when they are watching him on-screen.
