With this catch, three jackals and two wild cats have been trapped so far in the airport's premises. The trap has been installed to catch animals which pose a danger to flights.
"One more jackal was trapped in the cage installed near the airport runway," Forest Department's Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) R N Saxena told PTI.
The jackal was later released in the nearby Charol forest area.
The jackal population around the airport poses a danger to flights, since these animals have gone close to aircraft earlier, an airport officer said.
