Expressing shock and rage over Jaycee Chan's act, Jackie said in a statement that his son was wrong and should face the consequences while holding himself also responsible as father, state-run CRI Radio reported.
Jaycee, 32 also known as Fang Zuming, was arrested in his house while having drugs along with Ko Chen-tung, 23, a movie star from Taiwan besides others.
They were caught possessing marijuana and have both confessed their crime, according to police.
Jackie who was appointed as goodwill Ambassador for the China National Anti-Drug Committee in 2009 apologised for his son's action.

Two others including assistant as a drug dealer were held in the case.
The arrests were made in Beijing's Dongcheng district last Thursday after the police received reports from local residents.
According to Chinese law, those involved in providing locations for others to take drugs face sentences of up to three year in prison. The crime of transporting, manufacturing or trafficking drugs can be the death penalty.
He was honoured by the ruling Chinese Communist Party last year with membership in its elite advisory legislative body, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, in recognition of his achievements.
Jaycee's agent, M'stones International also apologised on his behalf, Police said.
