The sequel, which is being helmed by Cal Brunker, also stars Katherine Heigl, Maya Rudolph, Will Arnett and Gabriel Iglesias, reported Aceshowbiz.

The plot follows the adventures of "Surly Squirrel" when the evil mayor of Oakton decides to bulldoze Liberty Park and build a dangerous amusement park in its place.
