Jagan's 2-day campaign to focus TDP 'failure' on poll promise
Press Trust of India Guntur YSR Congress president and leader of Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is scheduled to campaign for two days near Mangalagiri in Guntur district to highlight Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's "failure" to fulfill his election promises, it was officially announced here today.
YSR Congress General Secretary V Vijaya Sai Reddy who is looking after arrangements being made for Jaganmohan Reddy's "Samara Deeksha" campaign, scheduled for tomorrow and Thursday, told reporters that the people of Andhra Pradesh have been betrayed by Chandrababu Naidu during the last one year.
He said that none of Naidu's election promises, particularly farmers' loan waiver, DWACRA loans waiver, a job for each household and unemployment compensation of Rs 2,000 a month were not fulfilled by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government.
Vijaya Sai Reddy said Reddy's campaign would commence in the morning hours tomorrow and that the YSR Congress is mobilising people from all parts of the state for its success.
