"Nevertheless it is good riddance," he said while adding, "party will be better off without such leaders who are always driven more by opportunism than by any commitment."
Reacting to Brar's allegations that Congress was reduced to "a mere self-serving family undertaking", Amarinder, in a statement issued here, said, "He (Brar) has always changed parties for his personal interests with regular frequency.
"This is not the first time and this is not going to be the last time... As he changes parties regularly according to their fortunes," he said.
Ruing that Brar was ungrateful to the party, former Punjab Chief Minister said that despite facing several poll defeats, he was given the opportunity to contest and also made special invitee to the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the highest decision making body of the party.
