Jain HITS targets Rs 400-cr revenue in FY15

Jain TV Group-owned Headend In The Sky (HITS) cable delivery platform 'Jain HITS', which operates the service under its subsidiary Noida Software Technology Park, is looking at a revenue of Rs 400 crore this fiscal.
HITS is a direct-to-network mode of delivering channels through a satellite multiplex service that enables customers to pick and choose channels.
The company has signed over 300 Independent Service Operators (ISO) in 250 districts of the country for providing its HITS service.
"Jain HITS estimates to book a revenue of more than Rs 400 crore by the end of this fiscal. For the initial few years we expect 100 per cent growth," Jain TV Group Chairman Dr J K Jain told PTI.
The company, which has rolled out operation in January this year, is targeting to have ISO partners in most districts of India in the next three years.
"As per strategy, we are right now focusing on coastal states like Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Kerala etc where DTH signals get affected the most," he said.

The company is integrating its cable along with broadband and other value added services, Jain added.
"We have invested approximately Rs 150 crore in Jain HITS from April 2012," he added.
According to Jain, more than one lakh set top boxes of the company have been installed pan India and around two lakh boxes are booked by ISOs for future installation.
Jain Hits is presently beaming 254 standard definition channels through its platform. Its basic packages start from Rs 100 onwards. It also provides dual language voice feed for some channels.
Jain Group is also mulling establishing a set top box manufacturing unit for its HITS system in the next three years in Noida.
At present, only two companies have HITS licence. Hinduja Group is the other firm owns it.
Noida Software Technology Park is a private company in which majority 86.66 per cent share are held by Ankur Services Growth Fund and 13.33 per cent Jain Studio.
