"This is the first time that such an event is being held in Jaipur where more than 360 species of birds have been recorded over the years in and around the city that encompasses broad range of habitats, from Aravalli-Shekhawati landscapes to agricultural tracts, urban parks and gardens, inland wetlands," Dr Sumit Dookia, the local coordinator said today.
He said that there are no pre-determined routes in the event and participants can watch birds in multiple locations, all within 30-50 km radius of the city to try see as many species as can be possible.
Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) and Yuhina Eco-Media along with Delhi's birding enthusiasts are organising the event.
