Jaipur Metro works deliberately delayed by BJP govt: Gehlot
Press Trust of India Jaipur Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today said Jaipur Metro Rail would have started operations eight months ago had the works not been "deliberately delayed" by the BJP government.
On the proposed start of the project by March 31, 2015, Gehlot said now under pressure from the people it will probably move next month.
Jaipur Metro Rail would have started its operation eight months ago had the works were not hampered by the present government, Gehlot said in a statement here.
He demanded that in view of population explosion, similar metro rail project be initiated in Kota to ease traffic load.
Yesterday, Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation CMD N C Goyal has said that Jaipur Metro was waiting for certification from Railway Board and Commissioner of Safety (Mumbai) to run train operation by March 31, 2015.
