Fifty of India's top rally drivers will battle it out in different categories during the championship titled 'Rally of Jaypore'.
B L Soni, Commissioner of Police, Jaipur, will flag off the rally, which would approximately cover the distance of 200 kms, at 4:00 pm on Saturday. The rally will begin from Fern hotel at 7:00 am on Sunday.
The rally will pass through some of Rajasthan's most charming but rugged areas like Jaigarh & Nahargarh Fort, Amer Fort, Achrol, Ramgarh, Raisar before ending in Jaipur and heading back to the hotel at around 4:00 pm.
Round 3 of the rally has attracted 25 entries in the Pro-Expert and Pro-Stock categories, while 25 drivers are expected to take part in the Novice Class, which is open to first-timers wanting to experience the thrill of professionally organised motor rallying.
Like in previous rounds, the rally will see constructors like Maruti, Mahindra, TATA, Volkswagen and others marking their presence through private entries.
Being conducted under the aegis of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), the rally is part of India's first national Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) Championship and marks JK Tyre's return to rallying after a decade.
"Jaipur has a rich history in cars and motorsport and we are pleased to bring one leg of our first national TSD rally championship," Sanjay Sharma, Head - Motorsport, JK Tyre & Industries Limited said.
