Jalaj Srivastava is the new NDMC chairman

Jalaj Srivastava, a 1984 batch IAS officer, today took oath of office as chairman of New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) along with four other nominated members.
The swearing in ceremony was attended by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
Srivastava had served Delhi government as Tax Commissioner before he was transferred to Andaman and Nicobar in 2011.
He succeeded Archana Arora who has been transferred to Delhi government.
Four nominated members -- Nila Mohanan, Dharmendra, I A Siddiqui and Suka Ram -- were also administered oath of office.
