Fans hoping to see Idris Elba as the next James Bond will be disappointed to know that the actor has not been approached for the part.
A lot of names have been floating around as the possible Daniel Craig replacement and Elba was one of the fan favourites to take on the mantle but he said there is no truth to the stories, reported E! Online.
"I mean, look, I've said it a million of times: It's a great character and it's an honor to be asked, but it is just a rumor," Elba said.
He also confirmed that there have been no real conversations regarding him succeeding Craig in the role.
Othe possible contenders for the role are Jack Huston, James Norton, Tom Hiddleston and Tom Hardy.
