James Cameron's 'Alita: Battle Angel' casts Rosa Salazar

Actress Rosa Salazar has been roped in to play the lead role in "Alita: Battle Angel," James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez's big-screen adaptation of the manga series.
The movie is about an amnesiac cyborg bounty hunter plying her trade in a dystopian future, reported Entertainment Weekly
The 30-year-old actress has previously appeared in "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" and "The Divergent Series: Insurgent."
Cameron wrote the adaptation of Yukito Kishiro's manga and wanted to direct the project, but he stepped down to concentrate on his sprawling "Avatar" franchise.
Robert Rodriguez will helm the project.
