Following the reports of question paper leak, Jamia Millia Islamia University today said it would reconduct the entrance test for its BTech programme.
The entrance test was conducted on June 13 and some university teachers claimed that they had received emails of the engineering test paper hours ahead of the exam.
Taking cognizance of the reports, the varsity had decided to cancel its entrance exam for Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS), which was scheduled yesterday.
"A preliminary inquiry, based on the details available, hints at the possibility of a breach in the examination system with respect to B Tech Entrance Test that was conducted on June 13, 2015.
"Keeping in view the interests of the students who took the entrance examination and to maintain highest degree of propriety and credibility of the examination process, the university administration has decided to cancel the above- mentioned test," Jamia spokesperson Mukesh Ranjan said.
"A fresh B.Tech Entrance Test would be conducted on June 27. The postponed BDS Entrance Test will now be held on June 25," he said.

Fresh Admit Cards would be issued to all the applicants for these two programmes.
"Necessary details will be put out on the university's website and will also be conveyed to every examinee through e-mail and SMS," Ranjan added.
This year, the BTech department received 39,654 applications, while BDS invited 6,603. This is the first time that the university has outsourced its entrance exam procedures to a private company.
Jamia signed a contract with Computer Maintenance Corporation (CMC), a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), to handle the online admission forms and other related work.
"Jamia Millia Islamia views the matter very seriously and regrets the inconvenience caused to the students and parents," the spokesperson said.
