Srinagar: The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to support the proposed two-day strike called in protest against the "anti-people" policies of the Central government.
CITU state unit president M Y Tarigami requested people from all walks of life to back the nation-wide strike called by eleven trade unions on February 20 and 21. --------------------
Jammu: The Kashmiri Pandit community has opposed the shifting of Minister Raman Bhalla to the Housing, Horticulture and Culture department from the Revenue portfolio the Gandhinagar MLA was holding before last month's reshuffle.
All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference president Hira Lal Chatta said during his tenure, Bhalla had ensured proper implementation of the Prime Minister's rehabilitation scheme for the migrant community.
He said Bhalla took personal interest for the welfare of the Kashmiri Pandits.
