Jamshedpur Carnival to kickstart on Dec 19

The Steel city is all set to host the entertainment extravanganza at second edition of Jamshedpur Carnival, which will kick start from December 19 at Gopal Maidan here.
Organizaed by Tata Steel, activities including Musical Band performance, Maste Chef and painting competions, food festival, dance and cultural performances were lined up for the three-day carnival, said Sunil Bhaskar, Vice-President (Corporate services), Tata Steel said.
Addressing a press conference here, Bhaskaran, flanked by the Presidents of Jamshedpur Hotelier Association, Prabhakar Singh and Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Suresh Sonthalia, said the entertainment extravanganza will witness host of performances including by Oriental Express, a Latin American band from Kolkata, and dance performance by one of the reknoned classical dancer and choreographer of the country, Tanusree Shankar and her troupe on the inaugural day.
The second-day events included dance workshop by an Indian contemporary dancer and choreographer Astad Deboo and well-known music composer Leslie Lewis of Colonial Cousins fame.
Singh said the Jamshedpur Hotelier Associations would organize Master Chef Competition for women, besides offering exquisite variety of Indian and Continental food.
Bhaskaran said the inaugural edition of the carnival received overwhelming response last year.
