Addressing a press conference here, Kumar said he wrote a letter in this regard to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and Chairman of Privilege Committee P C Chacko on October 26.

He alleged that his project of installing 1700 solar street lights in every village of his constituency jointly with Tata Steel was hampered by Munda.

At a meeting in Ranchi in September, the chief minister asked Tata Steel officials not to be a partner in the project, Kumar alleged.

Of the Rs 9.20 crore required for the project, Tata Steel had agreed to provide Rs three crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility, the MP said.

He said the solar lights have been installed in around 500 villages with the MPLAD fund whereas the Tata Steel fund remained unutilized so far due to the government approach.

He said his party will carry on with the project with co-operation of people and the MP LAD fund.
