Accompanied by party's central committee secretary, Abhay Singh, Kumar has handed over four sets of his nomination papers to District Electoral Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Dr Amitabh Kaushal.
In his affidavit, Kumar has exhibited his movable and immovable assets worth over ten crores.
While he has movable assets in for the form of bank accounts, investment in mutual fund, LIC shares and motor vehicles worth Rs.6,56,36,646, the immovable assets comprised of agricultural land and residential buildings worth Rs.4,99,65,000 and liabilities of Rs.69,79,341.
Kumar, who has already kicked off his election campaign full fledgedly, said he did not want to take his rival lightly and go to people's court with issue of development.
A former IPS and a qualified doctor, Kumar had won the Jamshedpur seats after defeating his nearest rival-cum-then Jharkhand state unit President of BJP, Dineshanand Goswami in the by-election held in 2011 with a handsom margin.
