The 76-year-old actress, who was in town working on a new project with 'The Vagina Monologues' creator Eve Ensler, drew the attention of tourists on the street when she showed up at 42nd Street eatery Chez Josephine for lunch, reported New York Post.
"The restaurant's owner, Jean-Claude Baker, went over and abruptly pulled down the curtain so that his client could dine in privacy," a source said.
Earlier in the week, Fonda watched Sting and Paul Simon play an LA gig with Rod Stewart and his wife, Penny Lancaster.
