The women's wing of Bihar-based JAP-Loktantrik party today demanded a court-monitored CBI probe into the Muzaffarpur shelter home scandal and demanded the resignation the Bihar social welfare minister.

The Jan Adhikar Mahila Parishad in a memorandum to Governor Satya Pal Malik demanded that the CBI probe be either monitored by Supreme Court or Bihar High Court.

The Parishad members took out a march to the Raj Bhavan to protest against the scandal and handed over a memorandum to the governor's ADC Himanshu Tiwari containing their demands.

The police stopped the march at a distance from the Rajbhavan and JAP members alleged that the force personnel misbehaved with them.

Following this the protesters, specially women shouted anti-government slogans.

Lok Sabha MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, who heads the JAP-Loktantrik party, said that no one is safe in the state and demanded a probe into the functioning of all shelter homes of the state in order to expose flesh trade and those involved behind the "racket" being run from them.
