"The visit of their Imperial Majesties the Emperor Akihito Heisei and Empress Michiko of Japan to India, especially to Tamil Nadu has strengthened the bonds of friendship between India and Japan, especially between Japan and Tamil Nadu," Baba, who recently assumed charge as the Consul General at the Consulate-General of Japan here, said when he called on Governor K Rosaiah.
Extending his best wishes to Baba on being appointed as Consul General, Rosaiah said, "Tamil Nadu is a front ranking state, a destination for Higher Education and Healthcare and is known for its rich culture and tradition.
