The company's executives met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence today and discussed the areas of collaboration between the State Government and the Japanese firm, an official release said here.
Naidu visited the Asian economic powerhouse last November to seek investments and invite companies there to set up ventures in Andhra Pradesh.
During the meeting, Mayewaka Chairman Yoshiro Tanaka said his company is willing to support in bringing about technological improvements in the food processing sector of the State.
"Mr Tanaka said that the company is looking to bring investments worth USD 8-9 billion to the State. He informed the Chief Minister that Mayewaka has already tied up with 24 potential companies, who are customers of its technology in Japan, and it wants to bring them to invest in AP to construct a mega food park," the release said.
