External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and her Japanese counterpart will review all aspects of the bilateral relations and also the status of outcomes including doubling of investment as was agreed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit in September last, the Official Spokesperson in the External Affairs Ministry said.
Kishida is arriving here on January 16.
Modi had undertaken a visit to Japan in September last year during which that country promised to give USD 35 billion to India over the next 5 years for developmental projects.
Japan also lifted ban on six Indian entities including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) which had been imposed in the aftermath of 1998 nuclear tests.
