Jaslok Hospital hosts hair donation drive' on Int Women's Day

City-based Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre today organised a hair donation drive' to mark the International Women's Day.
As per a statement issued here a hair donation drive was organised where 52 young 'bold and beautiful' women from across city donated hair for the cause of making wigs for cancer patients.
"The hospital's objective behind this drive was to help improve the psychological condition of the patients suffering from cancer," it added..
The donated hair was handed over to Cope with Cancer, an NGO that assists with providing cancer patients with their ordeal. The donated hair will be used to make wigs that will be given free of cost to patients who are undergoing chemo therapy while fighting cancer, the release said.
