The victims may approach these help desks for free legal services which have been set up pursuant to order passed by the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, a spokesman of State Legal Services Authority said.
"In case anyone has been subjected to sexual assault by the arsonists or protestors at any place in the state, the person can submit a complaint in a sealed envelope to the Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, of the district concerned either in person or through some relative or even by post or e-mail," he said.
"Where victims have suffered damage to their properties which may be shops, showrooms, vehicles, schools, factories or other movable or immovable properties, they would be at liberty to approach the official for redressal of their grievances," the spokesman said.
Similarly, the official can be approached if the victims have filed some claim with insurance companies and they have not been given their dues, he said.
The district legal services authorities would help the victims by pursuing their issues with the insurance companies and providing them legal aid as per rules, the spokesman said.
