Javadekar hopes K'taka CM won't support bandh during PM rally

Union minister Prakash Javadekar today hoped Karnataka Chief Minister would not support the bandh called by pro-Kannada outfits on February 4, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is would address a rally in the state.
He alleged that Siddaramaiah supported the January 25 bandh in Karnataka when BJP chief Amit Shah addressed a rally in Mysuru.
Despite the bandh, the party president's rally was attended by more than 50,000 people, Javadekar said.
He said the prime minister will be in Bengaluru for a public meeting on February 4. Pro-Kannada outfits have called for a bandh on that day.
"I hope he (Siddaramaiah) will not do what he did during Amit Shah's rally," the minister said.

State-wide bandhwas called by several pro-Kannada outfits on January 25 demanding the primeminister's intervention in the inter-state Mahadayi riverwater dispute with Goa.
The BJP had termed the bandh "politicallymotivated".
