The 43-year-old, who is married to Spanish star Penelope Cruz with whom he has 20-month-old son Leo, was joined by his "James Bond" director Sam Mendes as well as fellow castmates Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe at the ceremony, reported Radar Online.
The Oscar-winning actor was at his humours best in his acceptance speech and said, "Javier Bardem Day. That's so cool. And what's that like? Does everyone have to walk with a broken nose around Hollywood Boulevard?"
Bardem's star is located in front of the El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.
Penelope has also been given the star for her performance in the film 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'.
