Jawan injured in Pak firing admitted to AIIMS

A BSF jawan injured in Pakistani firing along International Border in Jammu and Kashmir has been admitted to the trauma centre at AIIMS here.
Neuro surgeons operated on soldier Pawan Kumar today and removed a bullet from his spine.
Dr M C Mishra, chief of the trauma centre, said that the patient is on ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit and is recovering.
A bullet had pierced his chest and broken his spinal cord resulting in paralysis in his legs, he said.
Kumar hails from Jammu region and was flown in on a special plane of the BSF.
He was injured in sniper fire from the Pakistani side on August 11 at the Alfa Machial Border Out Post area in Jammu.
