"One jawan made the supreme sacrifice while two others were injured in the operation against militants in Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district," an Army official said here.
The encounter between the security forces and militants broke out yesterday near Ragni post in Taya forests. The operation was going on till last reports came in, the official said.
