Jayalalithaa today congratulated Dr Tamilisai Sounderrajan on being appointed as the new BJP Tamil Nadu unit President.
In a letter to her, she expressed happiness over Sounderarajan being appointed as the State unit President, an official release said.
"I congratulate on your appointment as President, BJP Tamil Nadu unit", she said.
Yesterday 53-year-old Dr Tamilisai Sounderrajan, who was earlier the BJP National Secretary was appointed as the Tamil Nadu unit president, replacing Pon.Radhakrishnan.
