Jaya inaugurates Rs 11 cr dairyfarm, godowns
Press Trust of India Chennai : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has inaugurated dairy farms and godowns built at a total cost of Rs 11 crore in three districts that would benefit milk producers and help in ramping up production.
Jayalalithaa inaugurated the dairy farms in Pudukottai (Rs 2.99 crore) and Tiruvallur (Rs 4.51 crore) districts on Friday through video conferencing from the state Secretariat, an official release said today.
She also inaugurated godowns built at a cost of Rs 3.50 crore in Erode district.
With the inauguration of the dairy farms, about 50,500 milk producers in the two districts and its neighbourhood stand to benefit, it said.
The production of the milk per day would be doubled to 20,000 litres in Pudukottai while in Tiruvallur it would be 30,000 litres per day from the present 22,000 litres, the release said.
