"The honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is under observation," a morning medical bulletin from Apollo Hospitals Chief Operating officer Subbiah Viswanathan had said.

On reports in a section of media, including on social media, that Jayalalithaa will be flown to Singapore for further treatment, party Spokesperson CR Saraswathi said, "It is false information. She is not going anywhere...Someone is spreading wrong news. She will soon return home".
Meanwhile, actor Rajinikanth wished Jayalalithaa speedy recovery. "I pray for the speedy recovery of our beloved Chief Minister," he tweeted in Tamil.
