"As part of the ongoing recuperation, the Chief Minister has been advised few more days of rest. She will be discharged from the hospital in a few days and will soon resume normal official duties," Apollo Hospitals Chief Operating Officer Subbiah Viswanathan said.
Addressing reporters here, he said necessary investigation and tests were being carried out to prevent recurrence of fever and the 68-year-old AIADMK chief was on a "normal diet".
He said, meanwhile, "rumours and conjectures" were being circulated falsely in the social media about her health condition stating that she will be taken abroad for treatment.
"These are totally false and baseless. There is no question of taking her abroad for treatment. There is no necessity at all for this," Viswanathan added.
