The sponsorship is initially for a period of two years but Jaypee Cements assured that it will be a long term arrangement and new faces will be added.
Though official figures of the deal was not disclosed, Jaypee sources said that the three players will share close to 1.5 crores among them.
Star cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and badminton ace Saina Nehwal were already being sponsored by the flagship brand of the Jaypee Group.
"I thank the Jaypee people on behalf of my teammates for this support. It's a big step forward for Indian hockey. We will continue to work hard and do well in Olympics," Sandeep Singh, star of India's Olympic qualifying campaign, said.
Shiva Dixit, Executive Vice President, Jaypee Cements, said, "We have just started to support hockey, the national sport. More will be done in future. We have started with these players, because they are the face of Indian hockey." PTI AT PDS
