The scrip climbed 7.90 per cent to settle at Rs 336.60 on BSE. During the day, it gained 14.39 per cent at Rs 356.85 -- its 52-week high.
On NSE, shares of the company jumped 7.71 per cent to end at Rs 336.50.
JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals has reported 25.78 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 49.85 crore for the first quarter ended June.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 39.63 crore for the same period of the previous fiscal.
During the quarter, the company's domestic formulations sales grew 12.50 per cent to Rs 128.78 crore while overall formulations export registered a growth of 2.54 per cent at Rs 131.08 crore.
