Jai Bharat Samanta Party (JBSP) will contest all the 14 assembly seats in Kolhan division of Jharkhand.
"In principle, we have decided to contest all the 14 assembly constituencies in mineral-rich Kolhan comprising of East Singhbhum (six seats), West Singhbhum (five seats) and Seraikela-Kharswan (three seats) district of Jharkhand, JBSP chief Madhu Koda said.
Koda, a former Jharkhand Chief Minister Koda and ex-MP from Singhbhum constituency, told PTI that JBSP may field its candidates in more seats considering the strength of the party in other parts of state.
JBSP, however, will go alone in the poll, to be contested on the issues such as development and generation employment opportunities, he said.
As of now, three names including the names of him, his wife Geeta Koda, a sitting Independent MLA from Jagannathpur constituency, have been finalised while more names were likely to be finalised soon, Koda said.
Asked about constituency he would be contesting, Koda said his name was finalized for the Majhgaon assembly segment in West Singhbhum while Geeta will re-seek her election from Jagannathpur constituency.
To a query about the Jharkhand Progressive Alliance (JPA) recently formed in alliance with MLA Bandhu Tirkey-led Jharkhand Janadhikar Party and former Minister Enos Ekka-led Jharkhand Party, Koda said the alliance did not materialized but did not elaborate.
Koda was holding the party workers meeting at Majhgaon today.
