Livelink will provide JCB customers with real time alerts on location, maintenance, machine and fleet hours helping them to ensure that the equipment works optimally.
"Through Livelink, manufacturers, customers and dealers will now have a better control on their equipment's usage and this in turn will help them save operating costs," JCB India Managing Director and CEO Vipin Sondhi told PTI.
It has the potential to change the way Indian construction machinery customer operates. This is an advanced telematics system, which provides information on service, operation and security of machines, he added.
The standard incremental cost of new JCB machines, which comes fitted with Livelink, has gone up by Rs 25,000.

To encourage its customers to use the service, JCB will take the help of its 4,500 service officers to reach out to customers and educate them about Livelink.
"Around 5,000 of the new machines have Livelink system. We expect old customers to come forward to use this services as it will give them better control over their equipment," Sondhi said.
The company has so far sold around 200,000 machines.
On the security front, Livelink enables the user to track the location and also receive the tow away alerts.
It also remotely monitors the machine health for any malfunction and identifies and removes wasteful idle time, improving utilisation and cutting fuel costs, Sondhi noted.
