The delegation also urged the Governor not to approve the Private Universities Bill.
Talking to reporters outside Raj Bhavan, Kumaraswamy said the delegation that comprised JDS Legislature group leader H D Revanna, N Cheluvaraya Swamy MP and others, brought to Bhardwaj's notice that several bills including The Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Bill-2012 were passed by both Houses of Legislature in the absence of opposition parties.
Opposition Congress and JDS had boycotted the winter session in Belgaum yesterday to protest against government's refusal to extend the session by a day to discuss CAG report on illegal mining and denotification of land and other issues.
Both houses were adjourned sine die yesterday.
The Private Universities bill provides for establishment of 13 private universities in the state.
