In futures trading at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in March next year fell by Rs 140, or 0.95 per cent, to Rs 14,610 per quintal with an open interest of 3,012 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in January 2016 moved down by Rs 125, or 0.85 per cent, to Rs 14,570 per quintal in 8,823 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at existing levels, adequate stocks position, kept pressure on jeera prices at futures trade.
