At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in October month fell by Rs 205, or 1.17 per cent to Rs 17,260 per quintal with an open interest of 11,889 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in November contracts traded lower by Rs 195, or 1.11 per cent to Rs 17,430 per quintal in 6,168 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by traders at existing levels, fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, led to decline in jeera prices at futures trade.
