At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in July declined by Rs 180, or 0.98 per cent to Rs 18,135 per quintal with an open interest of 11,658 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in August moved down by Rs 175, or 0.94 per cent to Rs 18,435 per quintal in 14,352 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing levels, fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, kept pressure on jeera prices at the futures trade.
