Market players said, mounting stocks on relentless arrivals from growing regions along with muted demand in spot markers, mainly weighed on jeera futures.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery this month dropped by Rs 500, or 2.63 per cent, to Rs 18,535 per quintal, with a business turnover of 45,076 open lots.
The delivery for November also dipped by Rs 415, or 2.16 per cent, to Rs 18,780 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 10,107 lots.
