Traders said increased buying by stockists on pick-up in demand against restricted arrivals from producing areas mainly led to the rise in jeera prices.
Elsewhere, other spices moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled at last levels.
Jeera common and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 14,500-15,000 and Rs 17,700-18,200 per quintal, respectively.
