Marketmen said increased offtake by stockists following uptick in demand against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly attributed the rise in jeera and turmeric prices.
Jeera common and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 20,100-20,200 and Rs 22,200-22,500 per quintal, respectively.
Turmeric followed suit and traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 8,500-11,300 per quintal.
