Jena launches anti-campaign before PM's visit

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival at Balasore, Congress leader and former Union Minister Srikant Jena has launched an anti-campaign putting hoardings at different locations of the district headquarters town here.
The hoardings were made keeping in mind the size of cut outs of Modi and put up at the station chhak, bus stand and the way to BJP's meeting venue.
Jena has asked seven questions to the Prime Minister including operation of the AIIMS campus, a central school in Balasore announced by the previous UPA government and has sought a reply from the PM on the slow down of CBI probe into the chit fund scam.

The Congress leader also wanted to know about lack of action against the mines mafia.
Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with many senior leaders including former chief minister Giridhar Gamang have been camping in the town and visited the venue and inspected preparations ahead of the Prime Minister's visit.
The Balasore rally is part of a series of meetings to be addressed by the Prime Minister on completion of the NDA government's two years in office.' The state BJP leaders have recently named the rally as 'Vikas Utsav' as the party has been trying to inform the people about Modi government's effort to develop Odisha.

Visit to Balasore would be the third visit of Prime Minister Modi to Odisha in 2016 and fourth since he become the Prime Minister. He had earlier addressed a farmers' rally at Bargarh on February 21 and inaugurated an oil refinery project of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited on February 7 this year.
Earlier, the Prime Minister had dedicated the modernised and expanded units of Rourkela Steel Plant to the nation on April 1, 2015.
