Lopez and Carey have been rumored to be in a feud for more than a decade now. Recently, someone allegedly tried to worsen the two divas' relationship by creating a fake Twitter exchange between them, reported Aceshowbiz.
"Praying for Brussels, I've been strongly warned against performing there on Sunday but have yet to decide. I'll let my fans know asap," read a tweet apparently sent by Carey.
A Lopez imposter then replied, "ISIS only target places where there are lots of people so I think your concert will be ok. Good luck hitting those notes!"
The "Love Don't Cost a Thing" hitmaker quickly took to her official Twitter account to clarify that she didn't send the "nasty" post. "Someone copied my acct & wrote something nasty about another artist. I would never lower myself like that #fake #smallminded #noclass #notme," she wrote.
Carey is scheduled to perform in Brussels. She's slated to bring her tour to the Forest National this weekend.
It has, however, been reported that she might have to cancel the show following a string of terrorist attacks in the capital city of Belgium earlier this week.
