'Blonde' is based on the Joyce Carol Oates' Pulitzer-nominated book about Monroe. To be directed by Andrew Dominik, the movie would be a more elaborate look into Monroe's life from the point of view of the screen legend, reported Ace Showbiz.
Dominik, who directed and wrote 'Killing Them Softly' and 'The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford', will be the screenwriter of the project too.
Brad Pitt's production company, Plan B, is producing the film alongside Worldview Entertainment.
The Oscar-nominated actress' notable films include 'The Help', 'Zero Dark Thirty' and 'Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted' among others .
