Joe, 58, was initially diagnosed with the disease two months ago. He has since undergone the prostate surgery, reported People magazine.
According to reports, Joe is now feeling better and is optimistic about his future. He has also received support from family and close friends during his battle.
Joe praised his supportive daughters, saying "(Ashlee and Jessica are) so professional. They're so good and they know how to work a camera. They know their stuff."
Amid the health scares, Joe has been able to continue his new career as a photographer. He is reportedly heading to Japan, where he will shoot the cover of a magazine and work on additional campaigns.
