Jet Airways launches daily non-stop service from Blr to Am'dam

Jet Airways today announced the launch of its daily non-stop service from Bengaluru to Amsterdam from October 29.
The A330 Airbus to Amsterdam is Jet Airways' first service to any European city from Bengaluru, the airline said.
The airline company already has two flights to Amsterdam from Mumbai and Delhi.
Announcing the launch, Chief Executive Officer of Jet Airways Vinay Dube said, "We are proud to introduce a new flight 9W236 from Bengaluru to Amsterdam. It departs here 2.30 in the morning and arrives at 8.45. It is going to be an Airbus A330 - A happy mix of both premier and economy seats."
Explaining the intention behind the launch, Dube said there there was a demand from people of Bengaluru for direct connectivity to Europe.
In response to the growing need and demand, the company decided to start the service.

He said Jet Airways has tiedup with many other airline companies to connect its consumerswith the rest of India and rest of the world Europe.
Alphonsus H M Stoelinga, Ambassador of the Netherlands to India, said the growing Indian economy warranted increasing its business relationship with India.
Recalling the Netherlands' 400-year-old colonial connection with India, Stoelinga said, "Today again India is a powerful economy in the world. Netherlands is the fourth largest source of Foreign Direct Investment in India while India is the fifth largest source of FDI in the Netherlands."
Stoelinga pointed out that his country is a good investment and tourist destination.
He said Tata Steel has setup its head office in Amsterdam outside India.
He said there is a 300 per cent increase in Indian companiessetting up head offices in the Netherlands after the Brexit.
Besides business opportunities, it is a preferred destination for higher education.
